T20 CUP RULES FOR 2012

• All fixtures to be made between respective club secretaries.
• All fixtures to be completed and results submitted by 15th July 2011.
• All matches commence no late than 1830hrs.
• The HOME CLUB must supply 2 orange Warsop Stebbing cricket balls.
• All matches are to be 20 overs per side - with 10 overs to be bowled consecutively from each end.
• Each bowler may bowl a maximum of 4 overs
• Wides and noballs will each receive a penalty of 2 runs & no additional delivery. In the final over of each innings, the penalty will be 2 runs AND an additional delivery.
• In rain interrupted matches, 1 over will be deducted from EACH innings for every 6 minutes of play lost. The minimum number of overs required to constitute a match shall be 5 overs.
• In the event of a reduced overs match, no bowler may bowl more than one-fifth of the overs in the innings.
• 4 points will be awarded for a win
• 2 points will be awarded for a tie/no result
• 0 points will be awarded for a defeat
• Failure to fulfill a fixture will result in a 4 point deduction.
• The winner of each pool will be the team with the highest number of points & this team will automatically qualify for the finals day. In the event of 2 teams having the same number of points, the results between the 2 teams will be taken account to determine the winner. If still equal the team who has the greater net-run rate will be declared the winner.
• The best runner-up from across the pools will also qualify for the finals day. Due to the one division having more clubs, this will be determined by average points.
